| The
Inline Swirl Generator (ISG*) Hydrocyclone Head is a highly
innovative and patented hydrocyclone head that forms the heart
of three ACQUA/Muddy River separation technologies: |
| |
| • |
Cyclonic
Evaporator (CycloVap*). The CycloVap* is a cyclonic evaporator
that utilizes the ISG* to rapidly accelerate the liquid inside
the tubes. The rapid swirling motion allows the CycloVap* to
benefit from a thinner liquid film inside the heat exchanger
thus producing greatly improved heat transfer coefficients.
|
| |
| • |
Induced
Cyclonic Separator (IC-SEP*)MASS. The IC-SEP*/MASS is a liquid/liquid
or solid/liquid flotation system. It utilizes the ISG* to dissolve
air directly from the atmosphere into the liquid stream, creating
unparalleled separation efficiency. |
| |
| • |
Inline
Swirl Generator (ISG*) Hydrocyclones. The ISG* head forms the
impetus for the liquid/liquid and solid/liquid hydrocyclones.
Rapid swirling caused by twin entries, allows the ISG* Hydrocyclones
to achieve greatly improved separation efficiencies. |
|
| |
| • |
Low pressure
drop at the inlets. |
| • |
Less shear and less emulsification
at the inlets creates a more stable formation. |
|
The
ISG* head is a twin entry matched helical head, which has two key
advantages over other hydrocyclone heads; low pressure drop and
the inlet design. The inlets create less shear at the entry point,
causing less emulsification and a more stable formation of the outer
down spiraling flow pattern in the tapered section of a hydrocyclone.
